He focuses on U.S.-based CFOs with mid-market and lower-middle-market transaction experience – carve-outs, add-ons, integrations, and debt refinancings. Most mandates are for manufacturing and industrials platforms, with additional experience across services, technology, distribution, consumer, retail, and food service. Before joining ECA, Steven taught and conducted research in 20th-century German philosophy and aesthetics at the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he earned his PhD.

Tony is a Managing Director in ECA Partners' Finance Practice specializing in CFO executive search for private equity–backed companies. He recruits finance leaders who drive value creation through disciplined growth, scalable systems, and data-informed decision-making. His work spans manufacturing, services, and consumer sectors, with additional expertise in transformation and analytics leadership. Tony earned a PhD from Northwestern University and was a Fulbright Scholar to Russia, where his research examined motivation and belonging during periods of economic transition.

Ethan is an Engagement Manager at ECA Partners specializing in CFO and finance leadership search for private equity-backed companies. He works with investors and management teams to identify finance executives who provide strategic leadership, build scalable organizations, and support growth, transformation, and operational excellence. Before joining ECA, Ethan was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Bioethics and Global History at the University of Oxford. He holds a PhD (DPhil) and MSc from Oxford, and a BA from Chapman University.
