As Managing Director at ECA Partners, Burton leads the Private Equity Value Creation Practice. He focuses on Portfolio Operations and Operating Partner executive search, partnering with sponsors to place hands-on leaders who drive EBITDA growth, operational excellence, and scalable systems. A former manufacturing operator and business owner, Burton combines on-the-ground leadership experience with strategy expertise from Oliver Wyman’s PE Operations practice. Earlier, he was an engineer at Boeing and General Dynamics. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, summa cum laude.

Curtis is a Senior Director at ECA Partners and leads the firm’s PE Portfolio Operations Practice. He partners with private equity firms to recruit Operating Partners and portfolio operations leaders who drive EBITDA growth, GTM optimization, and operational excellence across sectors. With firsthand experience in PE, Wealth Management, and FinTech, Curtis has led both operations and commercial teams to execute value-creation strategies. He combines an operator’s perspective with deep talent insight to align leadership strategies with investor goals and accelerate transformation.
