Vice President, Commercial Operations

Company Background


Our client is a PE-backed technology platform that connects older adults and their families with appropriate assisted living and home healthcare services. This rapidly growing, mission-based company is led by a highly seasoned and successful CEO who was brought on to accelerate the company’s expansion.


The Position


This VP of Commercial Operations will be the Chief Sales Officer’s right hand. They are looking for a data-driven people leader who can effectively lead a 60+ team and communicate effectively at every level of the organization. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned sales operations leader, and someone who is also able to think strategically – to push for tech-driven solutions and ideate the big ideas that will drive the company forward.


Key Responsibilities


  • Oversee two call centers (each with 100+ agents)
  • Own learning and development – onboarding, training, and leadership development of sales reps
  • Head up sales enablement and their interfacing with the tech team
  • Oversee large tech rollouts and new CRM features
  • Oversee workforce management and quality assurance team
  • Put together compelling business cases to push the sales operations set up towards tech-driven solutions



Qualifications and Candidate Background


The ideal candidate will have:


  • 5+ years in a sales operations leadership role
  • Top-tier MBA preferred
  • Experience overseeing sales operation for a large (200+) sales team
  • Strong self-starter who can own deliverables
  • Excellent communication skills - can collaborate cross-functionally and drive strategic initiatives from the ground up and lead others
  • Approach problems as areas of opportunity – audit problems and improve the set up so the same mistakes do not happen twice
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to “juggle multiple balls in the air” at one time
  • Proven interest in mentorship and developing direct reports
