Company Background


Our client is the largest school uniform manufacturer in the country with more than 40 stores across the U.S. and Canada. They have been in business for more than 100 years and have seen organic and inorganic growth since their acquisition by a leading PE firm. They have over $90M in revenue and see a majority of their overall sales through e-commerce.


The Position


The Chief Revenue Officer will oversee the development and implementation of all commercial strategies of the company and will lead sales, including Ecommerce and retail store operations, marketing, pricing, customer success, and revenue management. The CRO will be responsible for preparing sales plans, profit & loss projections, and budgets to achieve the company’s growth and profit objectives.


Qualifications and Candidate Background


Primary Responsibilities:


·     Lead all revenue generating activities, including ecommerce and retail store operations, ensuring performance and alignment of the company’s revenue-generating functions.

·     Manage the US sales team to win new school customers, while minimizing school losses. and support the marketing department in improving strategy and customer experience. 

·     Ensure the development of effective ecommerce marketing and promotional strategies to grow annual uniform spending per student.  

·     Monitor the revenue pipeline and leads, adjusting as necessary for sustainable growth.

·     Monitor the competitive landscape and analyze opportunities, providing competitive strategies and tactics.

·     Identify and resolve issues across the marketing, sales, and account management teams.

·     Identify talent gaps in the sales, marketing and customer care organizations and continue to cultivate a high performing team through internal development and recruitment. 

·     Continuously improve all commercial processes, including support of the shift from traditional retail stores to e-commerce.

·     Supervise customer success and store field leadership, redefining the store experience as the business shifts to greater amount of ecommerce. 


Functional:


·     Proven track record of developing and executing strategies to grow revenue in a sales-driven business, with proven experience leading ecommerce, retail store operations, marketing, and branding.

·     Significant experience in general management and P&L supervision.

·     Proven ability to develop human capital.

·     Ability to craft and execute a business strategy effectively.

·     Inspirational leadership style and hands-on approach.

·     Polished in key account management & customer interaction.

·     B2B & B2C sales and marketing expertise. 

·     B2B2C sales and marketing expertise (preferred).

·     School-related goods or services experience (preferred).

Location

Remote with travel to visit school administrators, store locations, Portland Headquarters, and Fort Worth distribution center.
