Chief Executive Officer


Company Background
Our client is a Private Equity company looking to place a CEO at one of its portfolio companies.

The Position
The company is poised to capitalize on recent industry trends to realize meaningful growth. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with a strong entrepreneurial drive, an openness to collaborate with an active Board of Directors, and a commitment to driving long-term results. Our client is after someone with a strong “do-er” mentality, who is eager to jump in, roll up their sleeves and drive hard on the critical levers for scale and growth.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Drive company growth through strengthening existing channels and developing new ones
  • Manage key relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities
  • Dive into the operation to fully comprehend the system, business model, and team
  • Continuously improve operational processes to produce repeatable and scalable results with clear and transparent team roles and responsibilities
  • Hire, manage, motivate and develop a strong team to meet objectives as the strategic champion of the company’s direction and culture
  • Work with the board to define and execute strategic initiatives

Qualifications and Candidate Background
The ideal candidate will have: 

  • Strong business acumen
    • Top MBA strongly preferred
    • 5-10 years work experience (or equivalent) with exposure to the growth levers in a variety of companies and business models
    • Experience owning a P&L is ideal, especially with a B2C customer
  • Ability to prioritize, and make difficult decisions
    • A strong track record of driving high growth success
    • Comfort with risk and working within resource-constrained environments
  • Influencing and motivating others
    • Track record of influencing both with and without direct authority
    • Sales or other client-facing roles are a bonus
    • Experience growing and managing team is preferred
  • Ability to learn the business
    • Experience in a fast-paced work environment, such as 2+ years in consulting or finance
    • Top-tier academic background
    • History of responding to coaching and exhibiting a desire for feedback
    • Interest in learning about tax and expats
  • Desire to grow a small company
    • Experience in a lower-mid market PE-backed company is preferred
    • Entreprenurial experience is a plus
    • Proven ability to solve problems creatively
    • Commitment for the long term
The position is fully remote

$200K - $250K cash compensation, with above-market equity upside
