Our client is a leader in the design and manufacturing of long-term capital equipment for major chains and schools in the foodservice space. Utilizing state-of-the-art manufacturing plants and 6 global sales offices and distribution centers, our client provides more than 4,500 foodservice equipment products. They stand among the largest family-owned employers in St Louis.


The Position


The Chief Commercial Officer will oversee the development and implementation of all commercial and sales organizational strategies of the company. The CCO will lead a team of employees that includes the company’s sales, marketing, & product management teams and will be responsible for preparing sales plans, marketing, profit & loss projections, and budgets to achieve the company’s growth and profit objectives.


Key Responsibilities


  • Leading the commercial and sales team, while developing talent within the organization
  • Developing, implementing, and continuously improving all commercial and sales processes
  • Supervising marketing, sales, product development, and customer experience to drive business growth and market share.
  • Enhancing analysis of data to establish best-in-class insights
  • Partnering with the CEO and COO around sales and marketing strategies to build an integrated commercial operating system
  • Developing business-segment, product, and marketing strategies to generate sales & higher profitability
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to support product development and go-to-market



Qualifications and Candidate Background


Functional:

 

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in sales, marketing, & product development
  • Proven track record of business development
  • History owning P&L and balance sheets
  • Experience managing & developing products
  • An extensive strategic toolkit
  • Key account management & customer interaction
  • B2B sales with long sales cycle (preferred)
  • Long-term capital goods (preferred)
