Company Background Our client is an operationally focused private equity firm seeking to hire a new growth-oriented CEO to lead and execute an accelerated growth plan for their portfolio company. The company is a leading digital marketing platform dedicated to providing proprietary marketing strategies to small and medium-sized independent law firms across the U.S. Already considered among the top 1% of digital marketers in their vertical, they are preparing to double or triple in size over the next 3-5 years through a combination of additional M&A transactions and an aggressive organic growth plan.
The Position Working closely with the Board of Directors and company principals, the CEO will work across various functions to identify and implement organic and inorganic growth opportunities. In addition to fostering partnerships and M&A activity, the CEO will help scale existing sales investments, expand into new sales channels, further broaden the product/service offering to the legal customer base, and expand into other verticals. The right candidate will be an effective leader and entrepreneurial thinker with experience in driving organic and inorganic growth in related B2B and SMB contexts.
Key Responsibilities• Designing strategic business plans to significantly increase the size of the company through organic and inorganic growth opportunities
• Maintaining a deep knowledge of market conditions and the industry to identify new products and ideas in alignment with market demand and other competitive factors
• Building relationships with key stakeholders in the industry, including customers, partners, and acquisition targets
• Developing yearly financial plans and budgets, and overseeing the delivery of P&L targets
• Managing operational and business activities, including marketing, customer success, finance, product development, and fulfillment
• Motivating and leading a high-performing organization and contributing to employee development
Qualifications and Candidate BackgroundThe ideal candidate will have:
- 7-10+ years of experience in general management, strategy, corporate development, or business consulting roles, with experience in developing and executing profitable strategies
- C-suite or general management experience required; MSs/MA/MBA and experience in growth, general management, or digital marketing a plus
- Results-oriented and data-driven mindset with excellent communication and leadership skills comfortable in a high-growth, hands-on environment
LocationThe position is located in Miami-Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; strong candidates outside of this area will be considered.
