The Position

Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, the VP of Strategy is a high-impact role that heads up the Corporate Strategy function. This VP will be responsible for articulating the company's strategic priorities, selecting the right trends to drive company growth, and developing the appropriate success metrics. The ideal candidate will be a strong self-starter who has a proven track record of getting buy-in at the highest levels, a familiarity with the tech space, and a demonstrated passion for leading and developing a team.

Primary responsibilities include:
  • Building trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders across the business units, GTM, and accelerating functions
  • Providing guidance, recommendations, and prioritization for the business based on market, customer, and competitive analysis and insights
  • Articulating and disseminating annual strategic priorities, driving cross-functional stakeholder alignment, and providing ongoing oversight
  • Driving long-term corporate strategic planning processes for long-term value creation
  • Articulating, reporting, and guiding the key "health metrics" to instrument the business
  • Building and leading a diverse world-class team with a focus on talent development, growth orientation, and succession planning
 Qualifications and Candidate Background

The ideal candidate will have:
  • 15+ years of experience in strategic leadership, including leading teams in strategy, planning, and product management
  • 6+ years of experience at a top-tier management consulting firm
  • Top MBA strongly preferred
  • Experience in enterprise software, SaaS, and cloud spaces
  • A strong understanding of strategic-planning methodologies and tools
  • Good experience turning data analysis into actionable insights with recommendations to inform decision making
  • An extremely high level of energy and an ability to manage and quickly gain respect among highly educated and subject matter experts; be a charismatic motivator and thought leader throughout the organization
  • Strong problem-solving skills - be able to structure an issue and analyze alternative solutions
  • Superior communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills to gain trust, negotiate business objectives, and work directly with a broad group of senior executives throughout the company
  • A self-starter mentality who can quickly and independently assess business requirements and become an integral part of the executive team


The position is located in the Bay Area with minimal travel.
