Client / Situation
- Our client, a former L.E.K. consultant at one of the leading biotech companies, was looking for an experienced professional who will help them with analytics and strategy goals
- They needed a consultant who can work across the leadership team to help the client develop annual board presentation and support the executive team respond to a $150M investment offer
Objectives / Results Achieved
- Audited and created flexible valuation models, scenario plans, and corresponding slides, presented to the board to support spending and fundraising decisions
- Synthesized and updated materials from stakeholders across the organization into a coherent story for the board
- Closed deal with an $80M investment on favorable terms
- Audited and summarized proposal made by the investor into slides for the board, joined initial negotiations calls and war room planning with the executive team
- Created action tracker for related activities and deliverables, developed communication plan spreadsheet and calendar, and corresponded directly with the executive team to manage various other related workstreams
- Drafted two opportunity assessment decks (~20 slides each) diving into the strategic fit, patient impact, unmet need, and business case for each therapeutic area
