Client / Situation
- Our client, a former BCG consultant in one of the leading management consulting firms, needed help in their strategic analysis for an organizational transformation and cost reduction effort
- They were also looking to supplement an existing New York team with a junior consultant able to dive in and provide support with work ranging from back-end analysis, survey cutting, expert interviews, slide generation, and more
Objectives / Results Achieved
- Analyzed current state staffing model, job descriptions and salary cost data to help identify areas of redundant staffing and unnecessary costs
- Outlined a Shared Services Project Management Office (PMO) modeled and identified staffing roles and processes that could be rolled up into this PMO for potential cost savings of ~$500K – $2.5M
- Identified opportunities to further reduce costs by $1M – $2M through automation of manual reporting and business analytic processes
- Led development of storyline and deck for presentation to COO
