- Our client, an experienced CEO at an innovative FinTech start-up, was looking for a payments strategy consultant to create a market map of the payments ecosystem and assess their positioning relative to major players
Objectives / Results Achieved
- Provided a comprehensive view of the payments market landscape including a summary of the value chain, key players, recent M&A activity, competitive services, and key customer pain points
- Identified key criteria for partner engagement and created a prioritized list of key potential partners
- Created detailed profiles for chosen partners including financial snapshot, strategic priorities, synthesis of investor materials (i.e., decks, earnings calls, etc.)
- Recommended key players to engage with including areas of potential synergy
- Presented payments strategy at leadership offsite
